Why This Workshop

Most leaders were promoted for what they can do themselves. Leading a team means reading two very different things at once: the scoreboard, and the people playing on it. Most training picks one. This workshop covers both, in a single day.

Morning. Financial Intelligence. Read the business the way an owner does. How cash actually flows. Where profit really comes from. Which decisions move the numbers, and which are noise.

Afternoon. People Intelligence. Two skills, not one. First, self-awareness: your own drives, strengths, and blind spots on paper. Then people-awareness: how to read and lead the teammate whose wiring is nothing like yours, the one who processes the same conversation, the same request, and the same problem in a way you never would.

By 5pm, you can walk up to a scoreboard and a team, and read both. That's the read every leader needs.

What You Leave With

Four Tangible Deliverables. Not Just Notes.

Every participant walks out with real assets they can use the next Monday.

1

A Financial Snapshot of Your Business

Where cash actually comes from, where profit lives, and where the leverage is hiding. Not theory. Your business.

2

Your Personal Behavioral Report

Your drives, needs, and behaviors on paper (generated from the Predictive Index assessment). Highlighted, discussed, and understood, not filed away.

3

Your Manager Development Chart

Your green-light strengths, your red-light cautions, and one specific move you commit to coaching yourself on this quarter.

4

The Head, Heart, Hands Framework

A whole-person model for hiring and leading. Can they do the job? Will they love it? Have they done it before?

The Day at a Glance

Morning: The Business. Afternoon: The Team.

Morning · Financial Intelligence

Profit & Cash®

Hands-on business simulation

This is not a lecture. You'll run a company through an interactive business simulation, making pricing, hiring, inventory, and investment calls, then watch the numbers respond in real time on your scoreboard.

  • Run the simulation. See how a Tuesday decision shows up on the P&L by Friday.
  • Cash flow, made visible. Track cash through every transaction, from purchase order to payment.
  • Practice the profit levers. Pricing, cost, and mix decisions you actually make in your role.
  • Debrief the scoreboard together. What worked, what backfired, and why your numbers moved.
Afternoon · Team Effectiveness

Self-Awareness & Behavioral Insights

Data-driven, not personality-typing

Every participant completes the Predictive Index behavioral assessment before the workshop. In the afternoon, we translate your own data (not a hunch, not a quiz) into your strengths, your blind spots, and the move to make with the people who lead nothing like you do.

  • Data, not guesswork. Your own validated behavioral report is the raw material for the whole afternoon.
  • Drives, needs, behaviors. Decoded from the data and mapped to how you actually show up day to day.
  • Green light. Red light. Where your strengths win the day, and where they backfire under pressure.
  • Read others, not just yourself. The language for leading the teammate whose wiring is nothing like yours.
